We are currently recruiting for a Communications Officer to join a busy and collaborative team within a South Australian Government department. This is a full-time role based in the Adelaide CBD, and would suit someone with solid generalist communications experience who can hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the development and distribution of a fortnightly internal newsletter
- Preparing talking points, briefing notes and other written materials
- Supporting general communications tasks including content creation, copywriting and editing
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather information and ensure messaging is accurate and consistent
- Contributing to broader communication projects and activities as required
- Previous experience in a communications role, ideally within government or a similar environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, organised and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Competitive hourly rate between $48 and $51 plus super
