Are you passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting educators in delivering high-quality care? An exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated Family Day Care Coordinator to join a regional council team based in Hamilton, Victoria.
This full-time permanent role provides leadership and support to Family Day Care Educators using a strength-based approach and is instrumental in delivering a high-quality early childhood service responsive to community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide Family Day Care Educators to meet all aspects of the National Quality Framework, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
- Support Educators in applying the principles and practices of approved learning frameworks such as the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Early Years Learning Framework.
- Provide guidance to ensure programs are inclusive and responsive to children and families.
- Deliver professional development opportunities and support performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure operations align with relevant legislation including the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and National Regulations 2011.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Diploma in Children's Services (support to obtain this qualification will be provided).
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and education frameworks.
- Skilled in planning, prioritisation, and supporting educators.
- Proficient with administrative and computer systems relevant to Family Day Care.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
- One to two years’ experience in Family Day Care or similar childcare service
- Ability to lead, mentor and inspire a team of educators.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and deliver training programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
