About the Role
In this position, you will:
- Partner with business leaders to deliver expert advice across the full range of HR functions, including workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and organisational development.
- Provide guidance on industrial and employee relations matters in line with government policies, legislation, and enterprise agreements.
- Support the implementation of people strategies that enhance engagement, capability, and culture.
- Assist with workforce reporting, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other HR specialists to deliver consistent and high-quality services across the department.
You are an experienced HR practitioner with a strong understanding of government frameworks and processes. You bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Business Partner or Advisor within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong knowledge of public sector legislation, industrial instruments, and workforce policies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to provide strategic HR advice while managing day-to-day operational needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on practical outcomes.
- A current National Police Check(mandatory).
