Management Accountant Location: Adelaide CBD
Contract: 3–6 months (Full-time)
Hourly Rate: $60 + Superannuation

This role provides high-level financial management, reporting, and business analysis support to ensure the effective operation of the departments asset portfolio across the state.
Working within the Business Management Unit, you’ll be responsible for cost centre management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support key strategic and operational priorities. You will collaborate closely with branch managers and stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, identify efficiencies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor operational and capital budgets, forecasts, and financial reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Provide expert business and financial advice to support branch planning and improvement projects.
- Contribute to financial audits, risk reviews, and compliance with SA Government requirements.
- Support development of business cases, cost models, and financial proposals for major projects.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and business analysis in a complex organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Basware).
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related discipline (desirable).
- Knowledge of SA Government financial frameworks and accounting standards (advantageous).
