People & Culture Business Partner

Lilydale (November 2025 - February 2026 + Possible Extension)
Salary:$60.45 per hour + super (Band 6)

A local Government client is looking for a skilled and motivated People & Culture Business Partner to join their team based in Lilydale, this full-time role plays a key part in supporting leaders and teams through people-focused advice, practical solutions, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partnering with leaders to manage performance, employee relations, change, and workplace investigations
- Identifying opportunities to improve HR systems, policies, and ways of working
- Providing timely, accurate and practical HR advice across a broad range of people matters
- Supporting change and building capability through coaching and trusted relationships
- Using data and insights to support decision-making and workforce planning
- You have solid generalist HR experience, including managing complex employee matters
- Ideally experience of working in Local Government
- You’re confident navigating the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation
- You build trust easily and communicate clearly and respectfully
- You take initiative and work well both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with TechnologyOne or similar HRIS is a bonus
