About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Adviser to play a key role in achieving best practice procurement and contract management outcomes. Working under limited direction, you will provide expert advice across the full procurement lifecycle, from strategic planning and tender management through to negotiation, evaluation, and contract performance.
You will support the delivery of high value and complex procurement projects, ensuring compliance with legislative and policy frameworks while driving efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex procurement projects from planning to contract finalisation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver value for money and support business objectives.
- Evaluate and negotiate tenders using sound commercial, legal, and financial principles.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and enhance understanding of strategic procurement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant government procurement frameworks and policies.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Proven experience managing complex end-to-end procurement processes.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate legal and financial implications.
- Ideally worked within a Government organisation
- A sound understanding of government procurement policies and practices.
- The ability to exercise sound judgement, provide high-level advice, and influence outcomes.
