Senior Project Officer (ASO6) - Full-Time, 4-6 Month Contract

Classification: ASO6 - $62.93 Per Hour + Super

We're seeking a motivated Senior Project Officer to join a dynamic public sector team.

This short-term role (4-6 months) offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact projects addressing various programs across South Australia.

As a Senior Project Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and supporting a range of projects and initiatives designed to highlight their objectives and education across South Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing complex projects and contracts within defined timeframes and budgets.
  • Engaging and collaborating with a range of stakeholders across government, community and non-government sectors.
  • Interpreting and analysing data to inform strategic responses and evidence-based program design.
  • Preparing high-quality written materials including Ministerial briefings, reports, submissions and correspondence.
  • Providing strategic and operational advice to senior staff and contributing to the evaluation of programs and initiatives.
This role requires excellent communication, project management and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Strong experience in project and/or contract management, including planning, development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-level written materials such as briefings, submissions and Ministerial correspondence.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to negotiate, consult and collaborate effectively.
  • Capacity to analyse and interpret data and research to inform decision-making and policy responses.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and accuracy.
Role Requirements
  • Current National Police Check is mandatory (within 6 months of being issued) and State Government experience is a major highlight for this opportunity.
