Our client is seeking an experienced Communications Officer to support the delivery of a major regional project. A busy and varied role incorporating communications, media, public relations, graphic design, and community and stakeholder engagement. A great opportunity to work within a project environment on a temporary casual basis until the end of January 2027.
About the role
- Assist in the development and implementation of Communications Plans in collaboration with regional communications teams.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to inform the public of upcoming works and project impacts.
- Prepare and distribute communication materials including media releases, project flyers, website content, ministerial correspondence, and community updates (print and digital).
- Act as the first point of contact for project enquiries, manage and update records in line with project plans
- Community and stakeholder engagement
- Share project updates across internal engagement platforms.
- Prepare meeting minutes and assist in coordinating project-related events
- Provide communications advice to project teams to support effective stakeholder outcomes.
About You
- You will have experience in communications, media, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.
- You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- You will have extensive experience in developing and generating communication plans, and collateral
- You will have strong time management, and organisational skills, and the ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced project environment.
- You will have communications and project experience - either within government (local, state or federal) or construction/engineering.
