Our client is seeking an experienced candidate with extensive experience working with both programs and governance, to support the delivery of key regional programs. A great opportunity to work within a project environment on a long-term temporary assignment based in Townsville.
About the role
- Provide advice and support on program governance, reporting, and performance management for the program
- Proactively identify and support mitigation of program risks, issues, and dependencies through effective tracking and reporting processes
- Prepare governance materials including agendas, papers, briefing packs, and documentation for regional and statewide committees and boards
- Manage minutes, action tracking, and escalation pathways, ensuring timely close-out of governance actions
- Support program and project change control processes and documentation
- Monitor and update risk, issue, and dependency registers to support governance reporting
- Validate and standardise program data to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness for reporting and decision-making
- Ensure program records and evidence requirements are met, supporting audit readiness and accountability
- Support alignment and consistency of governance frameworks across regions
About You
- You will have extensive experience in program or project governance and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex environment
- You will have strong time management and organisational skills, and the ability and flexibility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- You will have extensive experience working in project or program environments, working with reporting, and governance support
- You will ideally have experience working within government or construction/engineering environments
- You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels
- You will have strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, particularly in data validation and reporting accuracy
- You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills working with MS Office packages - particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Benefits:
- Mid July 2026 start date
- Temporary casual assignment until 30 June 2027, with potential for further extension
- Full-time hours Monday to Friday

- $69 - $75.09 per hour + super
