Appointment Setter, BDR (Enterprise)
We are looking for an experienced Appointment Setter / Business Development Representative (BDR) to join their team to drive pipeline growth and appointment setting across enterprise customers. Typically you'd be doing research within accounts where they know there are cutrrent opoortunities and using this research to get the right decision makers to book meetings for the sales team to attend and unlock the opportunties. This is a key front-line role working closely with Account Executives and Presales Engineers to identify, engage, and qualify new opportunities within the IT services space.
Salary & Commissions
The client is thinking around $80-$90K base plus comms $20k+ plus super which is flexible for the right person.
The Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) role is a key position within the sales function, forming part of the successful customer facing sales team. You'll be a vital part of our high-performing sales team, driving the early stages of the sales cycle. Your mission is to generate qualified leads, set appointments, and build meaningful connections with potential customers. Working closely with both sales and marketing, you’ll help identify customer challenges and position their products and recurring services as the solution.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and research potential customers through inbound enquiries, LinkedIn, CRM tools, and outbound prospecting
- Use sales intelligence platforms and structured research to build targeted account lists
- Engage prospects across phone, email, and social channels to generate interest and conversations
Qualification & Pipeline Development
- Qualify leads using structured frameworks (e.g. BANT: Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline)
- Understand customer pain points and align them to relevant IT services and solutions
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure pipeline is always up to date
- Track key activity metrics including calls, emails, meetings booked, and conversion rates
Outreach & Appointment Setting
- Conduct proactive outbound outreach with a strong focus on personalisation and engagement
- Book qualified meetings and product discussions for Sales Executives and Presales Engineers
- Ensure seamless handover of qualified opportunities with clear context and insights
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3+ years’ experience in a lead generation role.
- Experience researching decision makers in ENTERPRISE accounts
- Exposure to IT hardware or infrastructure sales is a bonus
- Outbound prospecting skills (cold calling, email, LinkedIn/social sales)
- Proven ability to qualify leads and build strong sales pipeline
- Confident communicator, strong commercial instincts and resilience
