Our client is a large government department tasked with improving the lives of Australians. Our client is looking for 2an experience Procurement and Contract Manager/Assistant Director to join their large and busy team, on a long term 12-month casual temporary basis with the potential for further extension
About the role:
- Managing a small team responsible for a large, high value procurement project
- Staff and performance management, along with recruitment as required
- Lead a tender evaluation process
- Developing procurement strategy, procurement plans, risk plans, statement of requirements, evaluate plans, assessment management of tenders
- Ministerials, reports and briefings
- Stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation.
- Business and process improvement strategies
About you:
- You will have previous management or leadership experience
- You will have an understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the rules and policies.
- You will ideally have previous experience working in a government environment where you were working with large, high value tenders
- You will have previous experience of monitoring contract performance and associated risks, and able to develop strategies to mitigate risk if the need arises
- You will have strong communication skills both verbal and written
- You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to deal with stakeholders at various levels across the organisation.
- Previous experience of using TechOne would be beneficial

- 12 month casual temporary assignment with potential for a further extension
- Full time hours Monday to Friday - 7.5 hours per day, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm
- ACT location - potential for hybrid working set up
- $84.59 - $92.89 per hour + super
