About the role
- Provide administrative support to the Building Certification and Development Assessment teams.
- Process and maintain documentation relating to Development Applications (DAs), Construction Certificates (CCs), Occupation Certificates (OCs) and Complying Development Certificates (CDCs).
- Coordinate and schedule building inspections.
- Prepare correspondence, reports and other administrative documentation.
- Manage records, databases and document management systems, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide information relating to Council policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, residents, builders and developers to support service delivery outcomes.
- Assist with the efficient day-to-day operations of the Development Services function.
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum two years' experience in an administration, business support or customer service role.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence using business systems and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to provide professional customer service in complex or high-volume environments.
- Experience within local government, planning, property, construction, development or regulatory environments will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- 6-month temporary contract opportunity.
- Picton location with modern purpose-built offices.
- 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
- Attractive hourly rate of $44.99 per hour plus superannuation.
