About the company:
Our client is a large government department tasked with improving the lives of Australians.  Our client is looking for experienced Counsellors, Psychologists, Social Workers and Mental Health Nurses to join their team for a 12-month temporary assignment, with the potential to extend. 
 
 
About the role:
  • Working in a call centre environment, you will be providing high quality clinical services including risk assessment and intervention
  • Clinical intake, triage, and referrals
  • Individual single session counselling sessions 
  • Providing escalation pathway support
  • Updating internal CRM/database accordingly  
  • Liaise with families and coordinate with relevant treatment providers 
  • Participate in community development and projects as required
 
About you:
  • You will have previous experience working in a counselling environment, providing trauma informed, holistic, and client centred care
  • You will have previous experience completing intake and risk assessments
  • You will have strong written and verbal communicate skills
  • You will have the ability to respond to critical incidents in a calm and timely manner
  • You will be flexible to work in a phone based mental health/counselling environment 
  • You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills, and previously used databases and relevant MS packages. 
 
Mandatory Requirements for the role:
  • You must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, either Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • You must hold APHRA Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist 
  • Or you will be a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) upon commencement
  • Or you will be a Counsellor with Master's-level counselling qualification with Registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA, or
  • Or you will be Counsellor with Master's-level counselling qualification with ACA Level 3 or Level 4

  • Working 37.5 hours per week on a rostered 24/7 basis.  
  • Melbourne CBD location, +hybrid working from home 
  • $67.24 - $76.36 per hour + super + shift penalties for evenings and weekends.
