Our client is a large government department tasked with improving the lives of Australians. Our client is looking for experienced Counsellors or Psychologists (including Social Workers with previous counselling experience) to join their team for a 12-month temporary assignment, with the potential to extend for another 12 months.
About the role:
- High quality clinical services including risk assessment and intervention
- Individual, couple and family counselling
- Case management and client review
- Updating client records using the CRM
- Liaise with families and coordinate with relevant treatment providers
- Participate in community development and projects as required
- Regional intake assessments
About you:
- You will have previous experience working in a counselling environment, providing trauma informed, holistic, and client centred care
- You will have previous experience completing intake and risk assessments
- You will have strong written and verbal communicate skills
- You will have the ability to respond to critical incidents in a calm and timely manner
- You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills, and previously used databases and relevant MS packages.
Mandatory Requirements for the role:
- You must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, either Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- You must hold APHRA Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist
- Or you will be a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) upon commencement
- Or you will be a Counsellor with Master's-level counselling qualification with Registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA, or ACA Level 3 or Level 4
