About the company:
Our client is a large government department tasked with improving the lives of Australians.  Our client is looking for an experienced Counsellor or Psychologist (including Social Workers with previous counselling experience) to join their team for temporary assignment until the end of January 2027 with the potential to extend. 
 
 
About the role:
  • High quality clinical services including risk assessment and intervention
  • Individual, couple and family counselling
  • Case management and client review 
  • Updating client records using the CRM
  • Liaise with families and coordinate with relevant treatment providers 
  • Participate in community development and projects as required
  • Regional intake assessments 
 
About you:
  • You will have previous experience working in a counselling environment, providing trauma informed, holistic, and client centred care
  • You will have previous experience completing intake and risk assessments
  • You will have strong written and verbal communicate skills
  • You will have the ability to respond to critical incidents in a calm and timely manner
  • You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills, and previously used databases and relevant MS packages. 
 
Mandatory Requirements for the role:
  • You must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, either Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • You must hold APHRA Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist 
  • Or you will be a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) upon commencement
  • Or you will be a Counsellor with Master's-level counselling qualification with Registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA, or ACA Level 3 or Level 4
Benefits:
  • ASAP start
  • Casual temporary assignment until end of January 2027 with potential for a further extension 
  • Full time hours Monday to Friday - 7.5 hours per day, generally between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm.
  • Adelaide central location
  • $67.24 - $76.36 per hour + super
