Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide strategic architecture leadership across a complex digital health transformation program. Working closely with the Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), Program Manager, and key stakeholders, you will shape and govern the technical direction of the program from establishing architecture management systems to assuring vendor and team designs align with the target architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Strategy & Planning
  • Develop an architecture-led, evidence-based prioritisation framework and solution deployment schedule in collaboration with the EAO, Program Manager, delivery specialists, and key stakeholders.
  • Apply the TIME model (Tolerate, Invest, Migrate, Eliminate) to inform legacy system classification and guide prioritisation decisions.
  • Assess existing capability models and, where required, contribute to new current-state and future-state architecture artefacts and diagrams with the EAO.
Architecture Management & Governance
  • Establish and maintain an Enterprise Architecture Management System (EAMS) to capture, organise, and govern architecture artefacts, decisions, and standards across the program.
  • Develop ongoing EAMS maintenance recommendations to ensure the system remains current and fit-for-purpose.
  • Assist the EAO to establish and maintain architecture principles, standards, and guardrails that guide solution design across the program and support CRS requirements.
Solution Assurance & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Provide solution assurance across workstreams, ensuring vendor and team designs align with the target architecture.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement to validate solution requirements and communicate architectural direction to clinical, executive, and digital audiences.
  • Define technology, integration, and security requirements to enable fit-for-purpose solutions.
Procurement & Strategic Alignment
  • Support technology procurement activities, including the preparation of market documentation and evaluation of solutions against architectural requirements.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise architecture within large-scale, complex programs, preferably in healthcare or government.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, and classification models including TIME.
  • Experience establishing and managing Enterprise Architecture Management Systems (EAMS).
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including clinical and executive stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns, technology procurement, and digital health standards.
  • Experience working within or alongside an Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO).
