We are currently seeking an experienced Expiation Notice Officer (ASO2) to join a South Australian Government department based in Adelaide CBD.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service, administration and call centre experience who is looking to build a long-term career within the South Australian Government environment.
About the Role Working within a busy Expiation Notice team, you will be responsible for providing accurate information and assistance to members of the public while supporting the administration and processing of expiation notices.
The role will suit someone who is confident communicating with a wide range of people, comfortable working in a high-volume call centre environment and able to interpret policies, procedures and legislation to provide accurate advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service and assistance to members of the public via telephone, email and online communication.
- Respond to customer enquiries and correspondence in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Assess and process expiation notices accurately and efficiently.
- Review information and documentation to ensure notices are issued correctly.
- Handle enquiries in a professional manner, including dealing with challenging or difficult callers.
- Process and reconcile payments in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate database records and update information as required.
- Identify and correct data discrepancies through quality assurance and reporting processes.
- Undertake general administrative duties including audits, record keeping, minute taking and compiling information.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve individual and team performance targets.
- Previous call centre or high-volume customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Experience using large databases and Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- The ability to interpret and follow legislation, policies, procedures and written instructions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The confidence and resilience to handle challenging customer interactions professionally.
- A high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- The ability to work effectively under general direction while also using initiative.
