We are currently seeking two qualified accounting professionals to join a highly respected State Government department on a temporary basis:
  • Finance Reform Program Project Lead (ASO6) – 6-month contract
  • Team Leader, Corporate Finance (ASO6) – 3-month contract
Both roles are based in the Adelaide CBD and require an immediate start.
1. Finance Reform Program Project Lead (ASO6) – 6 Months About the Role This role will lead the implementation of the Finance Reform Program (FRP), a major government initiative replacing legacy financial systems and transforming finance operations across SA Government.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of the Finance Reform Program
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the Department of Treasury and Finance
  • Support strategy, policy, and process development
  • Drive change management activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements
Key Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Economics (Accounting major)
  • Strong project management experience within finance environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards and government financial frameworks
Program Context The FRP will replace the long-standing Masterpiece Financial Management System, with rollout scheduled from December 2025 to September 2027. This department is part of Deployment Group 4, with a go-live date of 1 September 2026.

2. Team Leader, Corporate Finance (ASO6) – 3 Months About the Role This role leads the Corporate Accounting function, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, compliance, and operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day corporate accounting operations
  • Deliver statutory and management reports, including annual financial statements
  • Provide financial advice and insights to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and audit requirements
  • Lead and develop a small finance team (2.4 FTE)
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Key Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Economics (Accounting major)
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong background in financial management, reporting and analysis
  • Experience working in complex or government environments
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
