We're seeking an experienced Financial Accountant - Assets to join a high-performing finance team supporting a significant enterprise-wide transformation initiative.

As the Financial Accountant - Assets, you will provide professional accounting services and trusted financial advice while supporting major projects and business operations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing journals, financial calculations, and accounting transactions.
  • Performing complex balance sheet and asset reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
  • Managing general ledger and fixed asset accounting activities.
  • Supporting asset capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Preparing, analysing, and validating financial reports and ensuring the accuracy of system-generated reporting.
  • Providing timely financial advice, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Assisting with financial data preparation, reporting, and finance system testing activities.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial management and reporting processes.
  • Supporting finance transformation initiatives and the implementation of best-practice business processes.
About You

You are a motivated accounting professional with excellent analytical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial outcomes.
You'll bring:
  • A degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Eligibility for membership with a recognised professional accounting body (CA or CPA highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, with strong expertise in fixed assets, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial management principles, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, analysing financial information, and presenting clear recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Proven experience using enterprise financial management systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build productive relationships and provide outstanding client service.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting team members is highly regarded.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes.
  • An understanding of legislative requirements, workplace health and safety obligations, and risk management principles.
  • A commitment to ethical conduct, diversity, inclusion, and maintaining high professional standards.
