Melbourne (Docklands) | Contract | Hybrid | Australian Citizenship + Baseline clearance (or eligibility)
A federal government agency responsible for Australia’s weather, climate and water observations is replacing its national network of automatic weather stations. These stations feed the forecasts and warnings that emergency services, industry and communities rely on every day.
This role exists to make sure every upgraded site goes live cleanly. You’ll be the link between the IT implementation team and the field installation crews, making sure equipment, comms, system config and data integrations are all ready at the same time.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning integrated go-live and cutover plans across IT, field install, connectivity, testing and handover
- Closing the gaps between what’s been installed in the field and what IT needs to go live
- Running a single register of site readiness, install status and outstanding actions
- Getting changes through CAB and coordinating change windows on the day
- Leading hypercare, incident triage and handover to BAU teams
- Go-live, deployment or commissioning coordination on technical rollouts
- Experience bridging IT delivery and field, engineering or infrastructure teams
- Multi-site or multi-workstream rollout experience
- Solid grasp of change and release management, integration testing and acceptance
- Hypercare and incident coordination experience
- Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain Baseline clearance
