Are you an experienced Lease Manager with a strong background in commercial property leasing? We are currently partnering with a Queensland State Government department to recruit an AO5 Lease Manager to join their Leasing Team on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the management of a diverse commercial property portfolio while working within a collaborative and supportive government environment.
About the Role As the Lease Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial office and non-office accommodation leases, ensuring compliance with lease obligations and providing expert advice to stakeholders. You will play a key role in lease negotiations, portfolio management and market analysis while building strong relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial office and non-office accommodation leases.
- Interpret, negotiate and administer lease agreements across leased and major leased buildings.
- Provide professional advice on leasing matters and deliver practical, solutions-focused outcomes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analyse leasing data to support informed decision-making.
- Utilise lease management systems and commercial space management tools to maintain accurate property information.
- Work collaboratively with team members and senior leadership to achieve business outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, resolve issues and negotiate positive outcomes.
- Proven experience managing commercial property leases, including lease interpretation, negotiation and ongoing administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
- A collaborative, transparent and solutions-focused approach to your work.
- Experience using lease management and property information systems, with strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a strong customer service focus.
- The ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing deadlines and work effectively within a government or corporate environment.
