An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Advisor to join a high-performing regional team responsible for delivering critical infrastructure and road network programs across one of Queensland's fastest-growing regions.
This role plays a key part in supporting procurement activities that contribute to the planning, delivery, maintenance, and operation of major transport infrastructure projects. As the Procurement Advisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering procurement services while ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end procurement activities, including planning, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contract establishment, and contract management.
- Providing timely, accurate, and practical procurement advice to internal stakeholders.
- Supporting business units with procurement strategy development and implementation.
- Monitoring procurement performance and delivering reporting and analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to streamline procurement practices.
- Providing guidance, coaching, and support to team members where required.
- Ensuring procurement activities align with organisational policies, governance requirements, and Workplace Health and Safety obligations.
- Collaborating with procurement colleagues and subject matter experts to enhance local procurement practices and capabilities.
- Experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
- Experience providing procurement advice within a complex organisational environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and customer service.
- Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence (or equivalent).
- Ability to successfully undergo pre-employment screening, including a criminal history check.
