About the company:
Our client is a large government department tasked with improving the lives of Australians.  Our client is looking for an experienced Program Coordinator with experience working as a either a Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, Counsellor or Psychologist to join their team for a 12-month long term temporary assignment with the potential to extend further. 
 
 
About the role:
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with mental health program providers, facilitate communications and coordinator activities
  • Provide training for onboarding and offboarding for program providers
  • Act as a central liaison point by providing information, debriefing and support
  • KPI reviews with program providers, to ensure they are meeting the required service levels
  • Support program providers in meeting requirements and provide support as required. 
  • Ensuring a program of treatment, treatment groups and workshops is developed and promoted.
  • Complaint management and escalation 
  • Maintain a small caseload of clients
  • Participate in community development and service promotion activities 
 
About you:
  • You will have previous experience working in a mental health, counselling or program orientated environment, whereby the focus is on trauma informed, holistic, and client centered care
  • You will have the ability to respond to critical incidents in a calm and timely manner
  • You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills, and previously used databases and relevant MS packages.
  • You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate with all stakeholders internal and external. 
 
Mandatory Requirements for the role:
  • You must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, either Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration, or Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • You must hold APHRA Registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist 
  • Or you will be a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) upon commencement
  • Or you will be a Counsellor with Master's-level counselling qualification with Registered Clinical Counsellor with PACFA, or ACA Level 3 or Level 4
 
Benefits:

  • Casual temporary assignment for12 months with the potential for a further extension 
  • Full-time hours Monday to Friday - 7.5 hours per day, generally between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm.
  • Melbourne CBD location, with potential for hybrid working from home arrangements  
  • $67.24 - $76.36 per hour + super
