About the client
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects across the Cairns region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing project team delivering road rehabilitation, safety improvements, disaster recovery works, pavement upgrades and other critical transport infrastructure projects.


About the role

  • Provide project management support across multiple concurrent civil infrastructure and road construction projects
  • Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, production outputs and adherence to quality standards
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance processes including inspections, testing, hold points and project documentation
  • Support project scheduling, program tracking and reporting, including management of critical path activities
  • Assist with contract administration, project controls, progress reporting and governance requirements
  • Coordinate communication between project teams, site personnel and external stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate project risks relating to technical delivery, safety and environmental compliance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant engineering specifications, standards and quality requirements
  • Support capability development through mentoring and knowledge sharing with project team members

About You
  • Demonstrated experience delivering road construction, transport infrastructure or civil projects
  • Strong understanding of quality management, project governance and contract administration principles
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a complex project delivery environment
  • Strong knowledge of road construction standards, specifications and quality requirements
  • Experience using project management systems such as SAP, Primavera P6 (or equivalent), CivilPro and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, compliance and project outcomes
