They're looking for a Senior AI Development Lead to become the technical face of their AI capability, working directly with founders, developers, and product teams to implement modern AI-powered engineering workflows.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior engineer who still enjoys getting hands-on but is equally passionate about mentoring others, shaping best practice, and helping teams unlock the full potential of AI-assisted development.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll operate across a mix of technical leadership, AI systems implementation, coaching, and consulting.
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing AI-powered development workflows for startup and product teams
- Introducing and optimising tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and emerging AI engineering platforms
- Building repeatable frameworks, playbooks and best practices around AI-assisted software development
- Running workshops and training sessions for founders, developers and product teams
- Providing mentorship, code reviews and technical guidance to engineers of varying experience levels
- Helping teams overcome challenges with AI-generated code, architecture decisions and deployment processes
- Staying at the forefront of AI development trends and helping shape future offerings and services within the business.
- 5+ years' experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer
- Strong experience building modern web applications across frontend and backend technologies
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled products or features using LLMs, AI APIs, agents, workflows or automation
- Daily use of AI engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar
- Experience with technologies such as React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, APIs, cloud platforms and modern databases
- Exposure to React Native or Flutter
- A track record of mentoring developers, reviewing code and helping teams improve their engineering practices
- Experience working within startup, scale-up or high-growth product environments.
- Experience delivering technical training, workshops or coaching programs
- Developer advocacy, developer relations or community involvement
- Exposure to MCP, Anthropic tooling or agentic development systems
- Experience building SaaS products from the ground up
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
