You'll sit at the intersection of retail operations and technology, working closely with client stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers and testers to translate complex store and customer requirements into practical technology solutions.
This is a hands-on BA role suited to someone who understands how technology operates within a complex retail environment – from checkout and payments through to promotions, loyalty, inventory and integration with surrounding enterprise platforms.
What you'll be doing
- Lead requirements workshops and discovery sessions with business, store operations and technology stakeholders
- Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process flows and acceptance criteria
- Map current and future-state processes and identify gaps, configuration requirements and potential customisation
- Work closely with architects and engineering teams throughout solution design
- Manage requirements traceability from discovery through build, testing and go-live
- Support SIT and UAT, including test scenarios, acceptance criteria and defect triage
- Manage and refine requirements within an Agile delivery environment
- Support business readiness, training and change activities
- Build strong relationships across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst delivering enterprise technology projects
- Strong retail technology experience, ideally across POS, checkout or store systems
- Understanding of retail processes including payments, promotions, loyalty and inventory
- Strong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation and process mapping skills
- Experience producing user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT and working closely with engineering and QA teams
- Agile delivery experience and familiarity with Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
