An established organisation is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help build and scale a modern data platform supporting analytics, reporting and data-driven initiatives.
This is a senior, hands-on role with ownership across data pipelines, modelling and engineering standards. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure data solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and build scalable ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, ingesting data from on-prem systems, APIs and structured/unstructured sources
- Develop and optimise Azure Data Lake (Gen2), Delta Lake and Databricks solutions across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers
- Model, transform and enhance data in Databricks and Power BI to support enterprise analytics and reporting
- Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices to improve deployment, reliability and platform performance
- 5+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, Data Modelling and Data Governance within Azure environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake
- Advanced SQL and strong Python capability
- Experience designing scalable data architectures and enterprise data warehouses
- Experience building ETL/ELT frameworks across multiple source systems
- Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management and data quality principles
