A well-respected South Australian Government agency is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Adviser to join their Procurement and Contract Management team on a 6-month full-time contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong public sector or complex procurement experience to contribute to high-value procurement and contract management outcomes. The role As the Senior Procurement Adviser, you will manage end-to-end procurement activities and provide expert advice on procurement strategy, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract management. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will lead complex procurement projects and support the delivery of value-for-money outcomes across the agency. Key responsibilities Lead complex procurement and sourcing projects from planning through to contract management. Develop procurement strategies, specifications and tender documentation. Manage tender processes, evaluations, negotiations and supplier engagement. Provide high-level procurement and commercial advice to internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with government procurement policies, legislative requirements and best practice. Conduct commercial, financial and risk assessments to support procurement decisions. Contribute to procurement policy, process improvement and strategic sourcing initiatives. Prepare procurement reports, contract documentation and governance documentation. About you You will be an experienced procurement professional with a strong understanding of public sector procurement, commercial evaluation and contract management. To be successful, you will demonstrate: Extensive experience managing complex procurement projects across the full procurement lifecycle. Strong knowledge of procurement strategy, tender evaluation and contract management. Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills. The ability to provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities. A sound understanding of government procurement frameworks and legislative requirements.
