About the role and the team
We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to support the Deployment Manager and play a key role coordinating the rollout of the new system across agencies.
This role sits within the deployment team and will focus on stakeholder coordination, project scheduling, workshop preparation and supporting delivery of the system implementation.
This project is a large transformation initiative replacing a legacy financial management system with a modern Oracle platform.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with program leadership to support the planning and execution of deployment activities across multiple agencies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Deployment Manager with planning, coordination and stakeholder engagement
- Preparing workshops and deployment materials for agencies and stakeholders
- Supporting development and tracking of the deployment schedule
- Monitoring progress against milestones and escalating risks where required
- Coordinating status reporting for program governance groups
- Maintaining project documentation and records in line with government policies
- Supporting delivery activities that contribute to the successful rollout of the program
- Experience in undertaking projects and performing project support and administration support activities.
- Experience in the collection, presentation and analysis of information.
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines, including managing competing demands and tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Experience in the application of project management methodologies.
- Highly developed skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure with the ability to be innovative and the capacity to assist in identifying and implementing initiatives to improve efficiency and/or service quality work/manage.
- National Police Check
Desirable Expertise
- Experience working on ERP or large technology implementation programs
- Exposure to finance transformation or finance system projects
- Competency in Jira
