The role
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across POS and payments transformation
- Design in-store systems including POS, self-checkout, and store infrastructure
- Define payment architectures (card present, digital wallets, gateways)
- Design integrations across payments, loyalty, OMS, ERP, and eCommerce
- Define API, event-driven, and messaging patterns
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, security, and data privacy standards
- Shape data flows across store, edge, and central systems
- Guide cloud, on-prem, and hybrid infrastructure decisions
- Engage with client architects, vendors, and delivery teams
- Support delivery by resolving complex technical challenges
- 10+ years in Solution Architecture or senior technical roles
- Experience across retail, POS, payments, or commerce platforms
- Strong knowledge of:
- APIs, microservices, and integration patterns
- Data architecture and flows
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Kubernetes)
- Security (authentication, access control, encryption)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience in Agile, cross-functional delivery environments
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
