Team Support Officer (ASO2)
State Government Agency – Adelaide CBD
Pay Rate:$37.51 – $40.36 per hour + Super
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: 3 months with potential for extension
Location: Adelaide CBD
A large State Government agency is seeking an experienced Team Support Officer (ASO2) to provide confidential administrative and operational support within a busy branch environment. This role will contribute to the effective delivery of branch objectives through high-level administrative coordination, information management and stakeholder liaison.
Key Responsibilities Confidential and Executive Support
  • Manage, monitor and file correspondence
  • Arrange travel bookings and coordinate hospitality requirements
  • Collate, prepare and present information for management
  • Provide reception and general administrative support
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on urgent and confidential matters
Administrative and Operational Support
  • Prepare memos, letters, minutes, submissions and reports
  • Coordinate correspondence and maintain filing systems
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to enquiries
  • Undertake accounting, budgeting and procurement activities
  • Manage diary appointments and initiate action on urgent matters in the absence of the Manager
Branch Coordination and Systems Support
  • Collate and disseminate relevant information
  • Maintain databases and update core computer systems
  • Support reporting and recording processes
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in administrative procedures
  • Participate in cross-functional activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive administrative support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting formal correspondence and minutes
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • High level of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Experience managing diaries and coordinating appointments
  • Understanding of Equity and Diversity principles and Workplace Health and Safety requirements
