In this advisory role, you will work directly with businesses, employers, workers, and stakeholders to provide practical WHS guidance, support legislative compliance, and help organizations develop effective safety management systems. You'll have the opportunity to influence positive safety culture, build strong relationships, and deliver meaningful outcomes that improve workplace health and safety.

As the WHS Advisor, you will:
  • Provide practical, accurate, and timely advice on work health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Conduct workplace visits to identify risks and recommend practical safety improvements.
  • Support businesses in developing and implementing effective WHS systems and risk management processes.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, workers, industry groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Deliver education, presentations, and tailored advice to improve workplace safety capability.
  • Identify emerging workplace risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop practical tools, resources, and educational materials to support businesses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality customer-focused services.
  • Monitor activities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to performance reporting.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovative approaches to service delivery.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, must be comfortable delivering presentations to large groups
About You:

You are a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and helping others achieve better safety outcomes. You combine technical WHS expertise with a practical, customer-focused approach and can adapt your communication style to suit a variety of audiences.
You will also have:
  • Minimum three years' experience in a Work Health & Safety advisory or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation and its practical application.
  • Experience conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, and providing practical recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Able to travel and have adhoc overnight stays
  • Current drivers license to drive company cars
  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management principles.
  • Current police check (within 6 months)
