This role acts as a key liaison between internal business units and the payroll team to validate workforce transactions, resolve payroll matters, and support processes related to employee entitlements, superannuation, and employment documentation. The position contributes to timely and accurate payroll outcomes while maintaining compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities

- Undertake internal validation of interstate and intrastate deployment claims, overtime, and additional hours to ensure accuracy and timely payroll processing within specified timeframes.
- Review and verify workforce data to ensure compliance with organisational policies, awards, and payroll requirements.
- Conduct audits of employee entitlements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant policies and legislative requirements.
- Identify discrepancies or risks and initiate corrective actions where required.
- Act as an escalation point of contact for payroll-related matters.
- Liaise with the Payroll team to resolve complex payroll queries and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Facilitate the Recognition of Prior Service process, ensuring appropriate documentation is obtained, reviewed, and processed in accordance with organisational procedures.
- Coordinate with the Shared Services Payroll team regarding employee overpayment matters, including documentation, investigation support, and resolution processes.
- Process documentation relating to novated lease agreements in accordance with payroll and organisational requirements.
- Manage and facilitate SAMFS superannuation documentation and approvals, including fund selection forms.
- Accurate and compliant validation of workforce payments and entitlements.
- Timely resolution and escalation of payroll-related issues.
